What is our career about?

Money? Promotion? Benefits?

These are what finite players are looking for. As life is infinite, being a finite player is not a wise choice

To live and work infinitely, we must discover our why (mission), our just cause (vision) and values. An infinite career is about fullfiling our why, advancing our just cause and living our values through our jobs.

If we invest our career in these 3 actions, we would feel fulfilled and inspired every day and night.

So when we want to pick up a job, first we must answer the following question:

1) Does this job help me fullfil my why?

2) Does this job help me advance my just cause?

3) Does this job help me live my values?

Money is Fuel, Not Purpose

Nowadays when we ask people why they are starting a business or following a specific career, the most common reason we receive is making MONEY.

 

Every business and job is created to meet some human needs. They are created to fulfill a PURPOSE. Money is just an outcome depended on our level of diligence and ambition.

 

The better we fulfill our purpose, the closer we get to our vision, the more money we earn.

 

Merely making money makes us happy, but not fulfilled. FULFILLMENT comes out of living our purpose every day.

 

HR departments should link company purpose to employee purpose so that employees will work not to earn money, but to live their purpose at work. Reading Simon Sinek's book Find Your Way is a perfect step for start.
