According to a research by A.T. Kearney, in any team environment, joy arises from a combination of harmony, impact, and acknowledgment — all of which business leaders can engender in their organizations.

The survey findings further suggest that joy stems from believing one’s work is truly meaningful. Employees who believe their “company makes a positive societal contribution” and who feel “personally committed to achieving the company’s vision and strategy” experienced the most joy at work.

So to create a JOYFUL environment, Leaders must clarify the meaning of work, show employees where they are going, align them to advance the vision, make sure everyone is aware of his impact and role and finally recognize them for their contribution to success.

To live and work infinitely, we must discover our why (mission), our just cause (vision) and values. An infinite career is about fullfiling our why, advancing our just cause and living our values through our jobs.

If we invest our career in these 3 actions, we would feel fulfilled and inspired every day and night.

So when we want to pick up a job, first we must answer the following question:

1) Does this job help me fullfil my why?

2) Does this job help me advance my just cause?

3) Does this job help me live my values?

According to this definition, leaders are skilled at doing 3 things:

 1) Generating a compelling and inspiring vision of a better world.

 2) Communicating their vision effectively to others.

 3) Driving and motivating others to give their blood and swear towards the vision.

As Seth Godin said in his book TRIBE: leaders form and lead a tribe towards a shared ideal future. So to be a leader discover your VISION, find tour target TRIBE, COMMUNICATE with them, MOTIVATE them to accept and promote your vision and finally EMPOWER them to advance the vision.
